I got the chance to work to have a little bit of video fun while working in NYC for Fashion Week. I shot this hair extension day dream video with an amazing photographer, Anthony Friend.

As a stylist and hair extension expert I have come to realize that women always dream of bigger sexier hair. This was the visualization of that dream.

I did the hair and all of the editing. What a great experience! Enjoy!

I was checking on all our social media platforms when I saw a very familiar face show up in my Facebook feed. Becca Quisenberry’s wedding photo was being used on www.txweddings.com.I am a little biased as I had done her hair extensions for her wedding. I was like, that’s my hair and boy does it look good. It does help that Becca is naturally beautiful. She gets that from her mother, trust me.Turns out the Texas Wedding Guide was promoting a contest to win the cover of their magazine. I immediately scanned the many pages of ladies and could not find Becca’s pic. She had my vote of course!I couldn’t find her. I decided to do a little bit of sleuth work. I gave her call and it turns out she was surprised too! Apparently, Becca’s wedding pics were so dynamic Texas Wedding Guide uses some shots from time to time. This makes sense because she her wedding photo’s were featured a couple years back.My phone call gave us a minute to catch up. Becca has been going to my Lead Stylist, Rosa Marrufo, since I have been traveling for work so much. If I were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one haircare product with me what would it be?The Pureology Hydrate Conditioner would be the most logical choice. It’s vegan, so if needed I could eat it. (Not recommended) It is very conditioning, so I could use it on my split ends.It is great for reducing color fading. All that time in the sun would definitely take its toll.

I didn’t really know who Peter Gray was before I left for New York Fashion Week for the first time. I googled his name and saw enough to know he was important. You probably have seen his work in Vogue, on the runway, and in lots of Redken ads. I couldn’t escape the surreal feeling that I would have access to talk to a stylist of this caliber.

I was NYC Fashion Week supporting easihair and the tape in extension system I helped create called easilengths. We were there to make sure shows like Betsey Johnson, Carlos Miele, Nichola K, and Badgley Mischka had all the extensions they needed to create the Fall 2011 runway looks.

Jennifer Edwards, director of education/easihar, carried a huge suitcase around filled with extensions and clip in bangs. In essence, we were hair dealers. Haha!

We got the chance to go to the Betsey Johnson show. We were there early and got in on all the behind the scenes action.

As a stylist I was blown away with Peter’s precision and passion to his craft. His Japanese team descended upon a model like an elite machine. 3 people, 6 hands, hairspray and bobbi pins moved in a circular motion around the model like a whirlwind. One mind and one objective: to wrap the long models hair around and around her head so they could use the China Doll wig by Jon Renau on the runway.

I stopped and stared. Mesmerized. I have never seen anything like that in my career. My only thought was, I want to be like that.

Everyday at The Beauty Box Salon is a day filled with fun and fabulous hair! Christopher Box worked as a brand ambassador for Easihair Extensions for the NYFW Badgley Mischka Show.The entire salon was inspired by the big sexy "set" hair. The BBS Team decided to rock the look at a salon happy hour at Taco Diner in West Village.Needless to say they created a few waves. Great hair, great company, and of course, great margaritas.
